What is projected to happen in the 2021 NBA draft lottery? This will be the third lottery since the NBA flattened the odds, which introduced more uncertainty at the top of the draft order. Last season, the Minnesota Timberwolves won the lottery with the league's third-worst record and the Charlotte Hornets jumped up to No. 3 after finishing with the ninth-worst record. There's a new wrinkle to the tank race this season: Teams that finish No. 9 or No. 10 in each conference will make the playoff play-in round. UConn Huskies' James Bouknight entering 2021 NBA draft, will hire agent

UConn Huskies sophomore guard James Bouknight is entering the 2021 NBA draft and plans to hire an agent, Bouknight told ESPN. Bouknight, a 6-foot-5 guard ranked No. 18 in ESPN's Top 100 of available players, has lottery pick potential and developed into the driving force in reestablishing UConn as a Top 25 program and NCAA tournament team under coach Dan Hurley. Bouknight, considered a prototype NBA shooting guard, averaged 18.7 points and 5.7 rebounds for the Huskies. He missed eight games midseason after undergoing surgery for a left elbow injury. The NBA draft lottery will be held June 22. The draft will be held just over a month later on July 29.

Western Kentucky center Charles Bassey entering 2021 NBA draft
The 6-foot-11 Bassey is the No. 25 prospect in the ESPN Top 100. He averaged 17.6 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.1 blocks and made 59% of his 2-point attempts this season. He was named Conference USA Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the year.

Oklahoma State star freshman Cade Cunningham to enter 2021 NBA draft
Cunningham, who won the Wayman Tisdale Award as the top freshman in college basketball, led the Big 12 in scoring with 20.1 points per game, the fourth-highest mark by a freshman in league history while also ranking in the top 10 in rebounding (6.2, ninth), field goal percentage (.438, eighth) and free throw percentage (.846, third).
