On the anniversary of his brother's death, Cowboys receiver Michael Gallup caught a career-high nine passes for 148 yards in Dallas' win at Detroit.
Last week Ezekiel Elliott ran for 47 yards. Against Detroit, he had 45 yards. “At the end of the day, we've got the highest paid runner and a really, really good offensive line, that draws attention,” coordinator Kellen Moore said. “Whether it eventually flips or impacts in other ways as we continue to throw it, we'll keep doing what we do. I think for myself, hey, I've got to find different ways. Maybe we need to approach it a little bit differently from a run game perspective.”
Dak Prescott's 841 passing yards in the last two games are the most in consecutive games by a quarterback in team history. “I don't think about performances in the past. I'm not going to sit here and look too much on this performance. It's about what we can do now, how can we get better. We're going to close this book and the next one is a very, very good opponent so I got to keep playing like this and put our team in position to win games.
The Cowboys were in a must-win situation Sunday and got what they needed with their 35-27 decision over Detroit. Dak Prescott was at his best (444 yards, three touchdowns) but the defense has much to correct as they face Tom Brady and New England next week. At 6-4, the Cowboys will remain in first place in the division but they are now reliant on Prescott to carry the show.

And it was a great catch by Elliott to start the play. Dak Prescott now has three touchdown passes for the third straight game. It's the third time Prescott has had such a touchdown streak in his career.

But having a halftime lead – like they do against Detroit, 24-14 – has been a good thing.
