She tried to get me to feel sympathy for the one who wears blue.
"A mother's worst nightmare" she said. "My friend's daughter just became an officer and was breaking up an assault when she was also attacked"
Of course I feel sympathy.
I feel sympathy for humans.
We cannot ignore the disparity that is happening in this country.

I don't fucking hate the ones in blue, but the system is broken, severely broken in places. And even in a place where we thought it was at least decent, the newly elected sherrif just racially profiled a newspaper carrier and followed the guy and didn't identify himself in his unmarked vehicle, and the situation ended up with 14 cars being called in. Its fucking ridiculous. THE GUY WAS JUST DOING HIS JOB!
No injuries were sustained, except to the community and his reputation.
