Johnny Wilkes, a man who claims to be close to Leonard and best friends with Kawhi's uncle Dennis Robertson, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against West and the Clippers, alleging the team consultant owes him $2.5 million in an oral agreement made for helping the Clippers sign Leonard.

NBA GMs pick Los Angeles Lakers to defend championship in survey
Eighty-one percent of respondents said the Lakers would repeat in 2021, with the only other team to receive multiple votes being the rival LA Clippers, who got 11% of the vote. The only other teams selected were the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat.

Toronto Raptors' OG Anunoby gets four-year, $72 million extension

Toronto Raptors forward OG Anunoby has signed a four-year, $72 million contract, including a player option for 2024-2025, Klutch Sports head of basketball Omar Wilkes told ESPN. Anunoby could have become one of the most coveted restricted free agents in the 2021 summer marketplace but finalized a deal before the Monday night deadline for players in the 2017 draft class. Anunoby was the 294th-ranked high school player in the country upon arriving with Indiana and former coach Tom Crean in 2015, and entered the 2017 NBA draft rehabilitating a torn ACL before the Raptors chose him with the 23rd overall pick.

San Antonio Spurs, Derrick White agree to four-year, $73 million extension


White, another in the Spurs' history of player development stories, averaged 11.3 points in 2019-20. He was the 29th pick in the 2017 NBA draft and spent most of his rookie season with the Spurs' G-League affiliate. The White deal beat the league's 6 p.m. ET Monday deadline for rookie extension contracts.

Jones played nine seasons in the NBA, all with the Celtics, and won titles in eight of them, the third most in league history, behind only longtime teammates Bill Russell (11) and Sam Jones (10).
