Exactly. Microns. Fabric masks don't filter at the micron level. The other thing about mask mandates is, they're junk. Garbage.
Because all they mandate is A mask. None of them, not one that I've seen, mandates a minimum level of mask. Not one. A cotton bandana? That meets a mask mandate. But it's useless.
Which means that the mask mandates are useless. They don't do anything. They have zero impact on health outcomes. They are compulsory obedience signaling.
And that is all they are. That's all they have ever been. "Are you doing as you're told, citizen?"

Let me reiterate that initial point, because once you understand that initial point, I think you'll find it very difficult to continue to insist on mask-wearing: Neither the CDC nor any state has a minimum protection level for masks stated in their mask mandates. I'd actually comply if any of them said, "Okay, you must wear at least an N-95 rated mask." Or, "You must wear at least an OSHA leve III rated mask."
Nope. None of them says anything like that. In an actual mask mandate -- like, for example, a work site with hazardous materials, right? Like, airborne sawdust? OSHA mandates a minimum level of protective equipment.
Not so with this shit. Which means that this shit is 100% un-fucking-serious. It's just virtue signaling. If it was serious, it would have actual minimal protection levels to it. And it doesn't.

I'm not. Governments throughout history have trampled on human rights, every time they thought they could get away with it.
And the only thing that ever beats that is a spirit of immediate, overpowering, and unyielding opposition that refuses to respect any limit on the scope or violence of response. As a hypothetical for the purpose of illustration:
Purple haired genderguess thing comes to your house with a pair of cops to force you to wear a mask?
Shoot those cops, light the fagmuppet on fucking FIRE.
Then blame it on Antifa, of course, 'cause the cops and D.A. won't even investigate Antifa xD
Also, if you want to clean up the streets of your city? Put on Antifa-themed gear, then go wipe them out, street by street and block by block. You're antifa, you've got "hate America" immunity. Just take out as many of them as you can, as rapidly as you can, so they don't catch on.
