Short Poem

Cherry and tangerine dance together
signaling the start of a new day as
the symphony of the seagulls is
carried by the crisp spring air.
Cerulean surf laps gently against the shore,
washing away remnants of a castle.

From within the golden grains I
scoop a sand dollar;
the fragile disc easily breaks.
Opening my hand, I
release the five white doves,
watching them fly away.
I don’t love you anymore.

Shatna

SOINT PLUT!
Oh, very nice. That last line is shattering. :(
