Did I ever tell you the story about the retarded kid I saw in Home Depot with the paddle ball and helmet? He about 25 or 30 and with who I assume was his mother. She looked VERY done. After I noticed the two of them, my wife quietly alerted me to the fact that someone (I'd bet mom) had replaced his rubber band ball return with a string. I'm not ashamed to admit I found that incredibly hilarious and had to leave the isle immediately.

I wish this wasn't a true story.
 
THAT WAS ME! YOU INSENSITIVE JERK! IF I DON'T HAVE THE STRING I DON'T HAVE THE BALL! The helmets for when I forget the balls attached, and I go diving headfirst to retrieve it.
 
You'd only use "retarded" kid anonymously (like here), never to their faces is my guess.
 
Actually, I don't play paddle ball. Does anyone play that these days?
