Gah. Stupid MS Solitaire and the dangers of being too clever: Playing. Doing well. Got good cards and played them smartly. Near the end of the game. Played a card and realized that, if I waited until the next time around I would be able to play that card as well as the card beneath it, so I backed up one turn and put the card back into the stack, was able to play things exactly the way I wanted to on the next round--and then promptly lost because I couldn't get to a red queen I needed. On a hunch, I undid the game back to where I changed my mind and, sure enough, if I'd have played things the way I'd done it in the first place I'd have got the queen and been able to win the game fairly easily.
