OK. I almost posted this the other day but deleted it. Living in Kentucky -vs- Oregon. You know how guys that know each other bust each other's balls and say things you just aren't allowed to say? For various reasons I was at a little gun shop last week. Waiting in line behind a black guy who is selling an AK-47 to free up some money for something cooler. While they paperwork is going through and the money is being counted, they're making small talk. And he's asking about this pistol behind the counter and telling them they're charging too much for it. They're telling him it's a fair price and he's telling them they sold him the same pistol a year ago for $100 less. Another guy from the store comes in with a stack of boxes and joins the conversation and tells the customer it's a new model that wasn't even available a year ago so they couldn't have sold it to him for $100 less. At which point he goes "why do you always have to be a ###### about everything?"

And my jaw is metaphorically dropping but no one bats an eye and they just keep busting each other's balls. Then the first store guy is trying to fill out the sale paperwork and get the spelling of the guy's first name right. After about 3 tries, one of them just goes "why can't you just name your kids 'Mike' or 'John' or something normal?"

Good times. Good times.
