But like half the images I try to upload it say "OOPS, we ran into an error."
 
Is there an 8mb upload limit.

Yep. Uploading directly means taking up server disk space, so I am generally a bit hesitant about keeping it around because if it got overused it would start to be an issue, but it's alright for now.
