Hey right winger's (yes I'm including YOU Dual, you're still right of center) STFU! You should be happy that our president won! Put what you hate about his economic policies aside. Just think about how Our President of the US won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. He has now joined the ranks of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Theresa, and the 14th Dalai Lama. Congrats President Obama! :techman:

What has Obama actually done to set himself up with those greats who truly deserve the Prize? Nothing. Lots of people have "great ideas", but Obama's done NOTHING that can equal your examples.

Giving him the prize discredits the committee and cheapens the award.

Who deserved the prize? President Nicolas Sarkozy. In fall of 2008, he worked tirelessly to broker a ceasefire in the Georgian war.

That's far more than Obama has done.

He didn't win it.

It's interesting to note that the deadline for Nobel nominations is the first of February, when Obama had been in office for all of eleven days.
 
Read the criteria for handing out the prize. Then read the posted reasons why they gave Obama the prize. Then it will make sense, and the idiotic hysteria being whipped up over this will go away.

The Dalai Lama got the prize in 1989. All he does is walk around and talk about his hopes for peace and freedom. 20 years later, Tibet is no closer to being free. Does this mean the Dalai Lama has to give his prize back?
 
How long did Nelson Mandella have to be imprisoned before he earned his Nobel Prize for helping to end aparthide?

It was more than three weeks, right?
