Everyone, panic!

Yellowstone is overdue for an eruption, isn't it? It's been a while since I've seen any specials about the supervolcano there.

Interesting that they're almost all in the exact same place too. And definitely right under the caldera.

"When Yellowstone Caldera last erupted some 640,000 years ago, it released about 1,000 km3 of dense rock equivalent (DRE) material, covering a substantial part of North America in up to two metres of debris."

....or check out Supervolcano a docudrama.

Oh joy, just when I figured that this month couldn't possibly get any worse, we get a bloodly supervolcano.

Just think though. Wouldn't it be a better epitaph to die from a cataclysmic volcano, than something kinda boring like an unfortunate fall down some stairs?

I want to go out in a hail of gun fire like my father and my father's father, and his father's father's father before him. :bergman:

So apparently "wait until you aren't looking and put a bullet in the back of your head and then eat one myself" is the WRONG answer to "what would we do if it blew up...."

Oh well... live and learn.
