A conversation I had about art today

lol. Yeah, people appreciate the skill that art takes but never seem to understand the cost.

At my work (not art related) we charge £100 per hour. If you priced your paintings like that some might be worth thousands. So a fiver, or even quite a lot more than a fiver is a bargain.

When I read your post I was actually shocked because I assumed they meant "Paint like a Bob Ross painting" I didn't think they meant an actual portrait painting of Bob Ross!

I can't remember why I wanted to paint the pumpkin the way I did-I think I was inspired by my friend whose boyfriend dressed up like him once and it was funny.
I heart Bob Ross.

Was Bob Ross ever a thing in the UK? Because I'd never heard of him until the internet.

I have only the vaugest of memories from when I was a child, mainly my mum not being happy when he covered up a particularly beautiful background with some trees.

I don’t remember it being shown here but maybe it was before my time. The resurgence seems to have been in the last five years or so.
