A couple of lost theories

1) The black rock didnt crash onto the middle of the island, the black rock was at sea when the island changed locations and appeared underneith it.

2) the polar bears were trained to use the wheel, thats how one of them ended up in tunisia not far from where Ben appeared.

Its cold down there, it wouldnt bother a polar bear, Sawyer was held in the place where they were trained.

I definitely agree with your first theory.. don't know about the second one, though it makes sense since it was freaking cold down there.

Yeah, the island moving does explain how the Black Rock got there and also Eko and Yemi's drug plane. But the bears were brought by Dharma, I think (the one Charlotte found had a Dhamra collar) and Dharma don't seem to be interested in the frozen wheel (they built on top of it.)

But Ben and the others had the island for 12 years after they killed off the Dharma people, who knows how many times they moved the island since then, assuming they had some other way to get in the chamber without smashing through the teleporter.

I suppose since whoever turns the wheel would end up off the island it would make more sense for them to sacrifice a polar bear, yeah.

Interesting views!

I think both theories make a lot of sense. And now we know for sure how Richard went through time so easily.

OH.. yeah what about Richard never aging though? You think he's from the past and came to the future? Or does the island keep him from aging? OR is he from now and traveled to the past? It's all very fucking confusing.

I reckon he's a normal person, but a guardian of the island who's been going through time using the Orchid (or the anomaly that the Orchid is built on). So he does age normally.

Yeah, what about that Mr FUDDLEMIFF? Plus when Ben was a little kid Richard was the same except he had hippie hair (still wore eyeliner!).

Also a freind at work pointed out today, when Desmond didnt put the numbers in, and 815 broke up over the island, maybe the island moved then, to be under the plane when it broke up.

It could have moved once more when the failsafe went up.

Christian's "you can go now" line was said by Miles in his first appearance (flashback) to the ghost in the old lady's house, I just remembered. I like it when they repeat lines like that.

Here's what I wonder about Desmond's time punching in the numbers.. whey didn't Ben and the others ever come down there to make sure he kept punching them in? Or to make sure he wasn't going nuts all by himself?

The oceanic 6 were rescued 108 days after the crash.

The same number of minutes the numbers had to be entered each cycle.

Well, one out of two isn't bad.

Yes, but you were way wrong on the overriding metatheory that the shiny baubles the writers dangled in front of you had any bearing at all to the overall plot of the show!

Turns out the whole thing was an argument between the MiB or Jacob or something. You know, two characters that weren't present in the show until season 5.
