Be patient till the last.
The controversy surrounding a" blonde Bond" (say that ten times fast) has impacted all the way up here!
*gasp*

James Bond should not be blonde. Daniel Craig should not be Bond

Why do I envision you living in Burton's vision of Sleepy Hollow?

"My blonde bond beats everything." (As per sloganizer.net)

I find it ironic that Jude Law's name was bandied about as a possible Bond contender, and now it's gone to his former fiancee's current flame. Ha!

If they're really going to take Bond "Back to the Beginning" with Casino Royale, they should've cast a much younger actor. Certainly someone 31-34. They could've taken a page from "Batman Begins" and shown a Bond who has to use his wits to make up for his inexperience. A "Bond Begins" would have been fucking awesome.

Sadly, they chose another guy in his 40's (at least, he looks like he's in his 40's), and it'll most likely suck balls.

Hell, they could've gone with Christian Bale, he can be Bond and Batman, right?

That's a good idear, BDM. Plus, with a younger Bond, you could have the same actor (potentially) play the character for a good long while.

Before Timothy Dalton was hired on as Bond Ver. 4.0, the producers and string-pullers of the Bond franchise wanted Pierce Brosnan as 007 even way back then, but he couldn't get out of his TV contract at the time. (Remington Steele, R.I.P.) I always thought Pierce would make a KILLER Bond.

To this day, I've yet to see ANY of the Brosnan Bond movies.

I don't expect my streak to change with Craig.

I just don't buy a guy in his 40's being a super-spy. I mean, elite, world-class athletes are usually on the decline by the time they hit 35. Watching a guy in his 40's or 50's jump around like a teenager just seems false to me.

On the other hand watching a guy dress up in a blue-and-red webbed suit and swing around NYC seems perfectly reasonable to me, so I may not be the best judge... ;)
