Trying to cover MJ songs is stupid. He sings in countertenor modulation, spinto and baritone and has a vocal range of five octaves. That translates to other singers sounding like retarded cunts when they try and sing his songs the way he does. Oh, and it helps to not be liquored up on hooch as well. *stabs self*

Their cover was passable since they went a different direction with the source material and didn't try and pull off the way he sings. Although the original version of SC is far superior to their version. Chris Cornell did a cover of Billie Jean that was good as well. The song is barley recognizable because he changed just about everything but the lyrics.

Trying to do a straight cover of his songs is just not a good idea.
 
I liked their version of the Smooth Criminal riff, because it was a higher tempo.

I would have liked to have seen Timmy Mallett do a cover of The Earth Song.
