Fucking bone-heads have really PISSED me off! After the 2006 run, the Acura RSX will be no more. Zip, ziltch, gone, extinct. This is STUPID! This is a highly successfull model, and is one of Acura's breadwinners. That's like Honda (parent company) dropping the Civic!!! WTF??? This is huge foolishness dropping one of the most popular ricer tuners out there. One of the few that deserve to exist.

It makes sense. The RSX was in direct competition with Honda's bread-and-butter car, the Civic (si model). Why would Honda keep a car in its lineup that cannibalized sales from one of its most successful models?

Yet, the RSX is better than the Civic in every way. Yes, they shared many of the same underpinnings, but the RSX was always sportier, had more power, and generally better designed, and was never eco-box first, sport coupe pretender second.

This decision was not based on the competition issues with the crappy Civic (damn the new ones are ugly!), but rather the Acura execs thought that the RSX didn't "fit in" the the Acura luxury brand which is bunk.

A coupe version of the TSX is rumored to bow in sometime in the fall of 2008, but it will never be the sporty car the RSX was. This decision will come back to haunt them since RSX's have been huge sellers for Acura. The loss of this model will make Acura see their profits fall fast and hard.
