Well first there's the Firefly episodes, then there's the first comic miniseries Those Left Behind which takes places between Firefly and Serenity, and then there's this new Miniseries, Better Days which takes place after Those LEft Behind (I think) but before Serenity.

Although issue 2 of Better Days only came out today.
