Okay.


OH THEY DID NOT FUCKING KILL ROUSSEAU.

Okay so it was a really awesome episode with a realy nice Michael flashback AND there was tons of Alexs and she's hot BUT I REALLY HOPE ROUSSEAU ISN'T DEAD BECAUSE SHE'S AWESOME.
 
Yeah! It would be sad if they killed her, maybe there was knockout drugs on whatever they shot her with and she's just unconscious! Carl can be dead though.. he was just an annoying extra.
 
well it looked like the bullet went right through him so that's not good.... for ROUSSEAU THE BASTRADS KILLED HER! omfg and then WHINY Alex tells them who she is so she wont snuff it too!

ALSO could Michael be more vascillating and annoying if he tried! LOL couldnt kill himself!!hahaha BITCH YER STUCK IN HELL

To be fair - that was a dirty trick with the "bomb" that Ben set him up for. Time to beat Ben up again.
 
I almost think that Rousseau knew what was going to happen to her, but went anyway because she wanted Alex to be safe. I also think it was Ben's people who killed Rousseau and not freighter people... but that's just speculation.
 
I thought it was the freighter people, as the Others don't kill other Others (unless they want a tattoo that is never mentioned again) and the fact that they set up the boeat people having guns (although maybe THAT'S WHAT THEY WANT US TO THINK).
 
Well.. Rousseau isn't really an Other, and Ben doesn't want Carl making babies with Alex so I wouldn't put it past him to hve them both killed.
 
I thought that it was the people guarding the Temple who freaked out at seeing Rousseau and maybe they couldn't quite see that it was Alex and Carl with her.

Either way, I liked all the Michael bits, but the cliffhanger wasn't anything special IMO. I was expecting more of a season finale style shock rather than this. My favourite bit of the ep was when Michael thought Walt was on the phone but it was just Ben. Clever move. :D
 
I'd say it's a better mid-season cliffhanger than "Kate, damn it, RUN!!!!!".

The next episode, The Shape of Things to Come, will air April 24th (in about a month, then).
 
Oh, not too bad really. And we get new BSG and DOOOCTAAAAR Who before then.
 
Sky seemed to hack the shooting scene up, the sound, and pacing seemed way off after Carl got shot, and dialogue seemed to be repeated.

From the sound of it, they were trying to mask Carl being turned over and the large exit wound on his back, we got none of that, even though the episode aired after the watershed.

Stupid sky!

I doubt Rossue is dead, and none fatal wounds tend to heal fast on the island.

I think it was the others who did the shooting because it would have been really obvious if it was the guys on the ship straight after a scene of them firing their (non silent) guns.
 
Pretty good episode. It is convenient that two people Ben would probably like to get rid of ended up getting shot. Though the bullets came pretty close to Alex too. And if it was the others then Alex shouting "I'm Ben's daughter!" would be pretty anti-climatic since they would just say "uhh, yeah, we know." I think it'll probably be Keamey and friends and they'll take Alex prisoner. Hopefully they won't rape her.

One thing that stuck out was Ben saying he doesn't kill innocent people. What the frak? So EVERYONE who died in the Purge was evil? Even the old hippy? Everyone killed by the others under his orders has been evil? This seemed like bullshit. But what other reason could he have for giving Michael a comedy fake bomb? So who are the "innocents" he wanted to protect? Daniel, Frank, Charlotte...oh wait, he SHOT her as soon as he met her! Yeah, this was bad writing or something. I hope they don't turn Ben into a good guy. It's okay having him BELIEVE he's a good guy but he's not a good...guy.

Naomi would be pretty hot if she didn't have a moustache.

Libby! For about two seconds! YEAH THAT TOTALLY EXPLAINS WHY SHE WAS IN THE MADHOUSE WITH HURLEY. Perferable to Ana Lucia anyway.

TOM LIKES TO INDULGE WITH ARTURO AND OLIVES? Unlucky for him that he got back to the island just in time to be shot by Sawyer.

So can Miles read minds as well as being able to talk to the dead? But only when eating oranges?

Sayid turning Michael in is obviously what Future Ben was talking about when he reminded Sayid of the last time he followed his heart instead of his head. Stupid Sayid!

Sawyer's still done very little all season.

Maybe Keamey was using a sniper gun. That'd explain there being no noise wouldn't it? Then again, there a disturbance in the bushes near Alex, so we're supposed to think whoever it was doing the shooting was nearby. Maybe just silencers.
 
The bushes were doing the creepy thing that they do when the smoke monster comes around.
 
Or when Hurley's hiding in them wanking.
 
Was the neighbourhood where depressed Michael was living the same place Jack went to for the funeral? Michael being in the coffin would certainly make sense (if the island was finished with him and finally let him kill himself.)
