If they had kept Idris Elba in the part, I'd probably watch it. There's no way I'm watching it with Tyler Perry.

It was okay. Matthew Fox from Lost did avery good job. Tyler Perry did a good job breaking from his usual but you can still see big old softy in his eyes.
One of the main characters was very badly handled and I can't help but wonder why. Maybe if this was developed from a novel that main character wasn 't so dismissed and forgotten in the novel. However, there isn't anything about that story that makes me want to read the book if there is one.
Basically, I think the purpose of this movie was to show Fox and Perry acting against the types they had been previously cast. Ok. Done.
