Alien: Earth

There could be a further flashback showing his origins in Ireland!

I'm guessing synths are quite expensive since we never really see more than one at the same time (and the Maginot didn't even seem to have one.)

Well that was intense!

Am I nuts or was everyone on the Maginot way too fucking calm for what was happening around them? It didn’t even feel like a mistake. It felt like a directorial choice, which was honestly kind of confusing.

The alien suffers a bit from climbing the ladder syndrome in pro wrestling. It takes its sweet time with the acting captain. Maybe it is playing with its food, but it stood out.

Morrow continues to be excellent. Babou Ceesay is absolutely killing it. If he is not in the Emmy conversation that would be a huge omission.

Also, how long before we get alien eye monster plushies?

I feel like the implication is that everyone on the Maginot has gone quite insane after being stuck there for 65 (not subjectively but it would still get to you!) It definitely felt like the alien was playing with the Captain a bit but why they do that only with main character and just kill everyone else quickly...they can sense importance I guess.

Another decent episode, glad stuff is finally happening.

This was the first one where I thought some of the writing was a bit too dumb at times: why didn't Yutani mention the fact that Boy was the one who had the Maginot sabotaged (as she must have learned from Marrow by now)? Surely that would have been a point in her favour? Why did they just let Wendy talk to Nibs when she woke up right after having her memory erased?

The lab being unsecure though you can put down to the fact that Kirsh was given full autonomy over it and was allowing it all to happen.

The sheep is a great villain.

Is it possible they could repair Tootles or does that much milk coming out signal that a synth is totally dead.

THE SHEEP IS CREEPY.

I wish Boy wasn't so over the top. It's stupid.

Yeah, it was weird they let Wendy talk to Nibs. Shouldn't they have been watching Nibs in the lab and see how she is when she wakes up?

I think Kirsh is evil, or something.

The lab vents really shouldn't open that easy!

CREEPY SHEEP!

Billionaire genius can't figure out maybe someone should be permanently watching the priceless aliens.

Maybe it's all part of his plan like all those things Elon did that seemed dumb but Iw as assured were genius moves.

A lot still up in the air going into the finale, so I hope they resolved everything (and Boy dies horribly.)

They really shouldn't have touched Mr. Strawberry.

I also really hope Boy gets a very satisfying death.

Why did Timothybot help them get to the beach? OH, well my stream glitched and I almost stopped watching but now I know he had a PLAN.

At least Wendy still has a monster in the jungle.

Morrow just wants to catch an alien.
Kirish just wants to catch Morrow.
The alien just wants to catch???

DINNER.

Fucking cliffhanger

Turns out the REAL monster was MAN (or, rather, children in adult robot bodies.)
The twist with Ade was good. Boy built him when he was six? Elon could never.
They still have been renewed for season two so they must be pretty confident? But it'll be at least two years probably before we see it.
I was hoping to learn a bit more about Kirsh and if he actually has any loyalty to Boy or what.
I hope the aliens end up breaking free of Wendy's control because they're not as interesting when they're just goons.

Even though this show was so gross I could barely watch it, I like the way the season ended. I hope the robot children fuck them all up!

So the aliens are now essentially Higgins Dobermans from magnum.

Why does Wendy have all the extra powers the others don't?

Why was Kursh acting on his own agenda?

How can the eye creature animate a dead body?

If we don't get a second season I guess we will never know.

Maybe Arthur was just sleeping.

I’m curious how Wendy can communicate with the aliens when they’re really far away (for instance, when she’s in the base but they’re out in the jungle somewhere). I guess she can just whisper really loudly...

I didn’t realise this was going to be the season finale. Shame as it feels more like half way through a season with very few plots concluded. But it’s been very good, so I shouldn’t complain.

It felt like something changed in the last 3 episodes. Like if I didn't know better I'd say they changed writers, or something (they didn't: Noah Hawley was still co-writer on every episode.) It felt like maybe they changed plans in some way. I too was expecting it to tell a more complete story, especially since season 2 hasn't even been greenlit yet.

I guess Wendy can whistle at a frequency only aliens can hear and aliens have super hearing but only for that one frequency.
