American Horror Story: Coven

I have never watched American Horror Story before, but I think I will watch this season. I just found out that every season is like a self contained mini series so I don't need to have seen the previous seasons. The ads for this season look really good! WITCHES.

Anyone else watch this show?

I will let you know if I think it's worth your time! I think it starts this Wednesday.

The first season was creepy, kind of scary and very pervy. The second season had EVERYTHING... Nazi mad scientists, serial killers, alien abduction, flesh eating mutants, crazy Ian McShane in a Santa outfit, a magic jukebox. This season should be just as wild.

Oh yeah, I forgot satanic possession in season 2. That was the best part actually, a nun was possessed and the actress was fucking sensational in the part.

That's cool! I don't know why I haven't watched it before, maybe I thought it would be cheesy or something. It was probably on the same time as something else I watch. PROBABLY.

Glad I won't be the only one watching it!

We thought last season sucked, but with the cast they've assembled for this one, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they bring back the awesomeness from the first season.

Second season had it's moments.

RUSSELL EDGINGTON IS THE BUTLER!

Okay, I don't feel qualified to write up a review for this. It was all so weird and gross and even funny at times. I don't think I could do it justice.

I don't even know if this is something CAPTAINWACKY would like. I don't know if you like horror. I don't really like horror, myself. I never see horror movies, because I am chicken. It was good though. Emma Roberts is good in it.

I don't like horror just for the sake of horror (like the way people will judge something on how good it is soley by the amount of gore that's in it.) Like I hate the Saw movies and would never watch anything like that. But I'm not opposed to something that is good and is also horror. Like in theory True Blood or The Walking Dead would be what I mean except True Blood is rarely good and The Walking Dead is barely better! I downloaded AHS so I'll watch it later tonight.

I am not feeling this season yet. Pilot was awfully hack and I have been disappointed by every so-called horror show so far this year. Seems like no ome remembers how to start a story off with great writing. Lot of cliche stuff: witches in New Orleans, creepy butler guy, angsty mother/daughter thing, yokel vs. Mean Girl on Campus subplot...hack.

SO I watched this. I enjoyed it. I didn't find it scary, really, but that's okay. The opening seen was kind of gross and the gang-rape was of course disturbing (the way it was shot from her point of view added to it.) It did feel like a pilot episode where they totally cram as much in as possible though. Like it could have slowed down a bit. But hey, it was more entertaining than True Blood so that's good.

Every episode of the previous AHS is like that, Ryan Murphy is a mad man with so many crazy ideas that he throws them all out there to see what sticks. It's completely demented and takes some getting used to but it's fun. Well it was until he went full psychopants on Nip/Tuck then it was just head scratchingly weird.

It was better than I thought it would be, but sorry Wacky, I can't stand Emma Robert's character in this. It's like Mean Girls, but they've all got witchy powers, and she's a total cunt.

Oh, I get that, but there's a difference (at least to me because I'm strange, LoL) between disliking a character but maintaining hope they can redeem themselves and loathing a character in the first five minutes they're on air and praying to the tv gods that the bitch only lasts two episodes.
