Angel - After The Fall (SPOILERS)

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
I read the first issue. It was okay. I know it's being "overseen" by Wheddon but it's obvious he had no hand in the script and, ideally, I think every Buffyverse comic should be written by him. But it was still okay. The set-up is more interesting than Buffy season 8 (though that has snappier dialogue) and there's a lot of potential. Plus, Gunn's a vampire! ZOMG!

Making the dragon a good guy was a nice twist too.

Is Gunn a bad vampire?

Did Angel or Spike sire him to save him?

He killed some girls, so I assume he's bad.

I forgot to mention that Wesley's a ghost working for Wolfram and Hart (which makes sense since the contracts extend past death.)

Hey, you forgot to tell the most important thing:
Is Spike it it????

Next issue it appears.

OMG, you just lifted a really heavy burden off my shoulder....
*runs off to call her fellow fangirls and starts organizing the "Spike'snotdustedSpike'snotdustedSpike'snotdustedSpike'snotdusted*celebration party*

:bigass:

Yeah, Spike, Illyria and Lorne weren't even mentioned in the first issue, but Spike was in the preview for the next one.

You'd like to think Illyria is still around and ripping things into small pieces..

Oh yes, definitely. There's no way Angel and Spike could have survived (in an undead sort of way), and Illyria didn't. She is GOD, after all...ok, so she's *a* god, but who wants to get nitpicky when it comes to GODS, right?

Why do I get a feeling that Whedon may have been against the 'Gunn as a Vampire' thing? Couldn't he have just died a hero's death, and stayed dead?

Well, I read that J August Richards suggested the vampire idea for season six (which never happened of course.) He would have made a great big bad.

It's not clear how Angel, Spike (and Illyria? I'm sure they wouldn't kill off such a great character) survived the 'Not Fade Away' battle, but it seems that the demons sent by Wolfram and Hart ended up turning on each other and fighting amongst themselves (there's a demon turf war going on in the remains of LA in the comic, with Gunn's vampire gang being one of the factions.)

Well if Angel turned that dragon really fast, having that on their side would turn the tide of the battle pretty fast.

Maybe Spike had sex with all the demons.

^Hot episode.

There's a season two Torchwood episode coming up where he's no doubt going to fuck Captain Jack and I'm ashamed to admit that my penis is looking forward to it.

*whimpers at the thought of a Spike fuck scene*
