...was a great play or set of plays in the early 90s (Millenium Appraoches / Perestroika) and is also great as a miniseries on HBO and subsequentially wherever I watch it (Logo).

It's just fucking great. It is an achievement of art, of entertainment, of spiritual and mental stimulation, of eveything. FUCK YOU IT'S GREAT LOL! (OK going to sleep now)

I have a photo of Emma Thompson descending with those angel wings in my dining room left over from when it was a prop for one of my halloween parties (the theme was Angels & Demons that year, IIRC), BUT I STILL HAVENT SEEN THE FILM! ZOMG!
I bet I'd love it! Dunno how that happened, but I will make sure to rent it and finally watch the damn thing.
 
Put aside some time, it's a 6-hour miniseries/movie.

But it's split into 1-hour chapters, so it goes by faster. Also because it's FUCKING AWESOME.

The HBO mini series was excellent.


Al Pacino is such a fucking douche in that version.... I love it.
 
That must have been on before I got HBO. I with they'd rerun it instead of the same movies they show 5 million times, the bastards.
 
Meryl Streep comes off in interviews like she's "acting" all down-to-earth, but I suspect she's closer to her Amanda Priestly character than she'd like us to know.
 
Well at least she makes the effort to act normal.
