Ant-Man and The Wasp

I hope they go further than just the pez dispenser and have a whole scene with loads of things being made giant. Would be fun.

Just found out something annoying: while this comes out on July 6th in the USA, it doesn't come out until AUGUST 3RD in the UK. This is because of something called the "World Cup" during which apparently nobody's allowed to go and see a movie for a whole month. It's stupid.

I loved it. Saw it in 3D which worked pretty well. I barely recognized Evangeline Lilly at first. Shes changed quite a bit from those Lost days. Great fun!

I'll see it eventually when it comes out on HBO or Epix. Just saw Justice League last week.

I'd be seeing it today, but my body decided to keep me in the bathroom for most of the day instead.

I saw it today. It was good, I liked it. I like how nice everyone is in it? I know that seems like strange thing to say, but I mean I like how they don't beat the "villain" (who isn't really a villain) by kicking her ass or anything and how they all become friends at the end. I don't think anyone died in the whole movie. It's nice and family friendly and if I had kids I'd let them watch it! I don't, though.

Paul Rudd was as charming as ever. Evangeline Lilly was very good at the action stuff and Wasp was shown to be more of a fighter than Ant-Man. Michael Douglas was up for it too. Michelle Pfeiffer wasn't really in it enough. The young girl playing Cassie is one of the best child actors I've seen. All the supporting characters were fun and, well, nice. It's a nice positive film! I hope Ghost's in a future movie as a hero (that seemed to be obviously set up.)

Wasn't as laugh out loud funny as say Thor: Rangnarok but definitely very amsuing.

I liked the crazy car chase bit with the shrinkng and stuff.

The weaknesses would be that it is a very "slight" movie. Although I liked that it wasn't about saving the world or anything there is very little actual danger or moments where it seemed like something bad would happen. It was basically one big long wacky chase sequence. The scene with Ghost explaining her backstory probably could have been done better, it went on a bit long. And they set up that Bill Foster used to be Goliath then don't have him go giant at any point in the film!? Weird.

Mid credit scene was good but must have been super confusing and upsetting to anyone who hasn't seen Infinity War.

Anyway if you liked Ant-Man you'll surely like it.

I enjoyed it but thought it was lacking as well. I don't know if it just seemed dull at times after the nonstop action of Infinity War but I can't help but feel like that played into it. I do enjoy the friends and family vibe of the movie just like the last one. The characters are some of the more down to earth ones in the MCU. Wasn't as good as the first one, but to be fair I didn't watch it uninterrupted. I kept having to piss during the movie so I'll definitely rewatch at home.

I liked it, a good antidote to the doom and gloom of some superhero movies, the truth serum was a highlight for me.

What was Janet eating for the last 30 years though?

Well there were lifeforms in the Quantum Realm, as seen by Hank (but that was another layer of shrinkage up) so maybe she was hunting them or maybe she was noncorporeal like Ghost for a lot of the time.

Maybe she fed on the remains of Yellowjacket when he shrank to her level. Pulled the meaty bits out of the crushed suit.
