Beryl, a 3D window manager for Linux. It's just eye candy, but it's very nice eye candy.

I installed this on Ubuntu Dapper last night when I was drunk, but just got around to playing with it a bit ago. It seems pretty impressive and works with my ancient Radeon 9600 AGP card. Not too many problems, except for some lag when playing full screen videos. I don't know if that's a card limitation or something I can tweak yet.

I'll try to get some more screenshots later, but here's a shot of the cube:

Looks fucking sweet. I may have to try that, if I can ever get connected to the internet with my incredibly old and outdated wireless card.
 
Yeah, I've been using it for the past few days with no major problems. There are a few weird bugs here and there, and it apparently doesn't like to play well with ATI cards in general due to driver issues. It's working a lot better than I thought it might, though.
 
You know, my next computer will have 2 monitors. I have 4 computers and 6 monitors here anyway. All of this stuff I have works.

Hell man they all work, they surf great , the limits are the video. we upgrade around here..

I have to have my own computer, my woman has hers and the kid has his, No way would we share now, we have had 3+ computers on line for years. there is no going back.

I found his and hers computers was mandatory long ago.

We got our 12 year old boy a new computer. 3.33gz, 512mb ram ,160gb HD for his birthday and christmas. his birthday has passed in october and he's not got shit from us.

We are going to tell him (the beater)the old 8 year old compaq peresario 333mh running windows ME is his new computer for his birthday and christmas.

We will wait till he looks sad then stop trolling the kid and give it to him tomorrow. He will be fucking thrilled after that.

We decided to let the kid have it now, the damn computer is not getting any newer. besides jesus was not born in december anyway.

^ Nah, not yet, anyway. I'd say it's not quite ready for primetime, but it's getting there. As it is it looks nice, but you're going to get some performance hits with graphically intense applications.

It also tends to crash a lot.
