If you don't know, now ya know
Considering I lose track of time playing the games solo, I can only imagine that playing online is even more addictive. I have no doubt I'd log on to play "for an hour" and the next thing you know my wife is coming downstairs to make the coffee.

Anyone here play online? Is it fun, or do you prefer to play on your own?
 
I've tried my PSP using the WLAN function. I'm yet to try it online.

the WLAN multiplayer rocks mah socks.
 
I play Baseball and Football on XBOX Live. I also played Conker Live & Reloaded. Tons of fun. :)
 
I am here because a gang of us met playing Halo 2 on XBL.

We are not nerds at all.

PLENTY of grown married men spend their evenings shouting at 10-year-old kids on a video game. Suuure.

I'm here because SBV's online voice sounds so fuckin' sexy through my xbox headset that I creamed my jeans pretty near every time I killed him and he shouted, "AW FUCK!"

But to answer your question, yes, it's stupid fun. And I focus on the first-person-shooters, where your brain fries out in about two or three hours. I can only imagine how those WoW kids justify their free time spent. There's something very, very cool about creating an online persona that looks like you want to look, fights like you want to fight, and kills as you would like to kill.

Cool and escapist, that is.

I gave a year to my son for Xmas, it's pretty awesome. Halo two is the most interesting, although I'm pretty good at the racing game and am getting ranked quickly online.
 
Halo 2, hell yeha. No other Xbox game has the goods like Halo. Although, there aren't many Xbox games that come close - so that might be a bad thing if you don't care for Halo.
 
Silent is the Famous one...uh but maybe for other reasons. ; )

Hey, man, I'm no one's meat shield. I'll get killed out in the middle of nowhere all by myself, thank you very much.

Jack, you only suck for a couple weeks, you just have to get some practice in. Take it calm and slow, don't worry about winning or kill/death ratios or any of that shit. Breath slow, work on your spacial awareness, and keep your aiming thumb limber.

Praying helps, too.

Silent, I played a LAN over the last weekend and pwned some n000bs hard, rite? liek, i pwned them so hard, rite?

after a bunch of games they were like, ok, everyone against ish, and i was liek, bring it n00bs, and we played slayer on zanzi and i pwned them 50 to 31.

Seriously, though, those people had no idea what they were getting when they invited me along.

The guys at work really, really want to LAN up some Halo but I'm trying to talk them out of it.

I'm like, "listen I'll put on the highest handicap but it will still not be pretty, OK?"
