Anyone Have a Bird?

I have a pet cockatiel (named Bird) that's about 6-7 months old, and I think he's getting ready to start talking. So, I was just wondering...if anyone else has a bird...how long did it take for them to start talking?

I also have a cockatiel "Honey" she is almost 8 years old now. Females, generally speaking... don't always talk. I still repeat the same words every morning when I open her cage and during the day but nothin'...lol...However, she can communicate with me perfectly well without saying a word...She knows how to get what she wants, when she wants it....Spoiled rotten to the core... ;)

Males on the other hand pick up talking easily, so they say. I'm very happy for you and Bird!!!!! Thats way COOL!!!!!

Honestly, WHO FUCKING CARES?????

He just now picked up the chitter chatter...he was just tweeting before. I can't tell if he's doing the "sexy" whistle or if he's trying to say hello (or maybe even something else).

He's a great bird, though. He had completely adjusted to us the weekend we brought him home, which is very surprising.

get a few wav files of speech phrases, like "Hello" and Pretty Bird" etc. Load it up and just play it near the bird all day til they click.

Sometimes it takes a while, but once they click they chatter endlessly, to a near repeating stage.

To the stage where you have to take an angle grinder the the irritating little fuckers beak (I find)

Sometimes when I'm masturbating, I enjoy having one of my little feathered friends bite the tip of my index finger.

Helps the force of the ejaculate during orgasm, I have found.

How do you train them to kill?
