Anyone remember HOOTIE AND THE BLOWFISH?

I remember them, but only because HOOTIE is now a country singer and it's like country fans can say SEE, WE'RE NOT RACIST HE'S BLACK!

I only heard of them in the first place because of a mention in friends, for all I know they could have been a fictional band.

Doesn't Hootie play harmonica with some degree of proficiency?

I remember not believing anyone would name their band Hoobastank. Seems like round about the same time period.

So no harmonica. At any rate I did find footage of them playing a song for Farm Aid '95.

I remember "hold my hand", and I also remember all their songs sounded alike...trying to remember what other band's sound they copied but it eludes me now.

I completely forget about them until that early Friends episode comes on when the 3 friends with jobs go to a Hootie concert and Monica makes out with a Blowfish.

But then I forget all over again.
