Yes, that was the year Brokeback Mountain was robbed of Best Picture.

I thought Crash was AWFUL. Eggs, living in Noo Yawk, I'm sure you have many daily interactions with people of the black persuasion. Tell me, did any of the blacks in Crash act or speak even remotely like any blacks you know? To me, the whole movie felt like White People saying, "Look! We can write good black characters! And look how evil we are!!".
