BDM, I just took a good look at the standings...

Eggs Mayonnaise

All In With The Nuts
...and holy shit! :D

It wasn't that long ago that while the Mets had the best record in the NL by far, there were several teams in the AL that had records as good or better than thiers.

Now, The Mets are just 2 games behind Detroit for having the best record in all of BASEBALL.

Holy moley guacamole dude! I keep waiting for the hammer to drop on them and it doesn't! Maybe they're getting all of the Red Sox's good luck now, since Boston is tanking rapidly...

That is today's baseball thought. Thank you and goodnight.

The Fightin's keep steady at 2 games out of the Wild Card. They move up to .5 games, then they slip back. They're destroying the Nats 10-4 right now.

And YES! Ryan Howard hit his 48th home run of the season! That ties Michael Jack Schmidt for the all-time Phillies record...and he's got 31 games to go! WOOT! With Big Papi on the shelf for awhile, the MLB HR title is all but his now. Oh, and he'll get the RBI title too.

Mark my words, Howard will hit SIXTY home runs this year. Let's hope the Phils can meet the Mets in the playoffs!

Holy shit, the Phillies are only half a game out of the Wild Card standings. And they don't play a team with a winning record for the rest of the season!! If they make the playoffs, Ryan Howard will win MVP, no doubt. He'll hit 60 HR and have like 145 RBI!

I think Beltran will give Howard a run for his money for MVP, but the fact that voters may not be able to decide between Beltran, Wright, and Delgado on the Mets will split things in Howard's favor. ;)

OMG!

Detroit: 82-49, .626
Mets: 81-49, .623

One game out from ruling all of baseball!

(I'm harping on this because I generally hate the AL and the DH rule, even tho it's been over 30 years now...)
