BDM takes DS golfing

Ugghhh. I suck. I missed the ball half the time. It was so damn cold that BDM got wind burn. He's a great golfer as he warms up.

The funniest part was when he hti a ball and rolled towards the edge of the water. By that point I had pretty much given up and took on the role of half assed caddy. I went to look for and it was on the edge, I mean the very edge of the water. I called over because it was teetering on the edge. On his way over, a duck, I kid you not walked over and bumped it into the water. It was the funniest thing I ever saw.
 
Did you wear burberry plus fours, a pastel Pringle sweater & tweed flat cap? If so, pix plz, because it will make this thread.
 
No, my plus fours were in the wash, and my puke green Pringle shirt was given to my by my Father-in-law and is only worn when I am around him. Because it's puke green.

I wore an Orange Titleist hat w/ballmarker, a polo shirt with my wife's company logo on it, an Under Armour long-sleeved shirt, green slacks, and a black wind vest.

The course was awesome, I should've taken pics. We'll go again when it's warm and I'll take pics of DS and his "old man swing". He's not as bad as he says! He almost made par on #16!

I did start to play better as I warmed up. I flat spanked the ball on a couple of holes, and sunk a couple of really nice putts.

DS's favorite part, I mean besides the duck? Hole 11 is an uphill par-4 with a totally blind tee shot. I mean, you're on the tee box looking up at about 10' of mound and upslope in front of you. Next to the tee box is a sign that says, "Aim for Tower", referring to the large power tower in the distance. We both found that pretty damned funny.

Oh, Gagh, Capatain Wacky, the course was an "British links course" replete with waste bunkers and tons of pot bunkers. You can play a very British game there. Each hole mimics a famous hole in Europe. You can check it out here: McCullough's Emerald Golf Links

A fun time was had by all, except for the freakin' winds!!
 
I went golfing one time, hit every goddamned piece of water on the course. I swear to god, if some jackass spit on the green, my golf ball would land in it for a penalty. Luckily, we were all screwing around so there is no record of my score for posterity and I pretended to suck on purpose rather than just because I sucked...no one believed I could hit the water that many ways without doing it on purpose.
 
I was like that when I first played. Cracked my wife up. She used to tell me, "Stop using those water-seeking balls!"

I said I wore my CCCC hat in the casino, not the golf course. Ummm...unless I misspoke when I told you that. Oops, my bad!! I'm the Corky here. I wore my beat-up Titleist hat on the course, and my CCCC in the casino. No way I'm getting my good hat dirty!
