"Bed"
by keekeen

Time for bed now
that the bird have
stopped their chirping,
and the owl over my
roof has begun his
nightly solitary hunt,
I say g'nite to all
the beasts great and
small that lurk in the night.

Time for bed now
that my eyes can no
longer glimmer bright and
shiny. Time for bed
now that my desk
has grown dark and my
candle has burnt out.
Time for bed now
that my small room
has turned silent in
the night. Time for bed.
I shall miss this day!

I was meaning to write one or two more poems today. When I woke up this morning I had several ideas where I wanted to go with them. But for whatever reason I never got around to composing my poems. I got to work 2 hours late because I was lazy getting up. Then when I finally got there I had to prepare for some stuff. By the time I got some quiet alone time I couldn't remember any of my ideas for the poems. I know; I should've written them down. But Fuck! Anyway, before I knew it, it was time to go home. It's now several hours later and I still can't remember the ideas I had.
