Luke is not long for this world.
 
Everytime he's in the diary room and they cut away, it's because he's broken down in tears and had to be consoled by a therapist.

He's been heard to say "that therapist is only interested in the hundred grand cheque!"
 
The "Extras" finale was on one of the HBO's again last night, where he goes into the Celebrity BB house as a way to get publicity. I always think of my UK MF BRETHREN when I see that.

"My son was murdered!"

"That must have been awful!"

"It was, it was a real tragedy."

"TRAGEDY--WHEN THE FEELING'S GONE AND YOU CAN'T GO ON--" (everybody dances, including the grieving mother)
 
LOL, it's so true to life. The bit when he talks to Maggie through the tv is a bit soppy, though.
 
It's like a rule or something, even the most edgy comedies have to have a semi-soppy ending.

Except Seinfeld, where they land in jail.
 
The Celeb BB bit was definitely the best part of that Extras.
 
And they're actually the kind of low rent British celebs who'd be in it for real. (I only remember Lionel Blair, actually)
