NBC has cast British Michelle Ryan as the lead in the network's redo of the 1970s action series The Bionic Woman. Ryan played the bombshell Zoe Slater from 2000 to 2005 on the BBC soap Eastenders.

The Bionic Woman ran for three years, from 1976 to 1978, first on ABC then on NBC for its last season. The show, a spin-off of the hit the Six Million Dollar Man, starred Lindsay Wagner as a woman who suffers a tragic skydiving accident and is turned into a bionic crime-fighting machine.

Ryan is not the only British import taking to American airwaves this fall. Sci-fi cop show Life On Mars, saucy relationship series Football Wives, gambling dramedy Viva Blackpool!, and family animal series Wild at Heart are all getting a Yankee makeover.

Is she more attractive than that pic? 'Cause there she looks kinda horsey...

$6 million wouldn't get you a bionic finger these days...I wonder how much they'll jack up the pricetag in the new version.

Isnt this the crappy remake where instead of doing cool adventures, she uses her bionic abilities to rise up the ranks in the buisiness world?

Wonder Spreadsheets!!!

See her rattle through her PowerPoint slides in no time at all as she uses her Wonder click mouse.

Step back John from accounts as she lassoes the photocopier man!

And her tits were not made for that kind of halter top, they look like armed fatty torpedos.

She looks like a guy in drag, actually.

I thought she was quite fit back in her 'stenders days, though a friend of mine reminded be of her fringe of steel.

I thought it was April Fool's when I saw this and then a story about Kilroy accusing M&S of using mirrors that distort the shape of women so it looks like the clothes they're trying on suit them.
