3 dead, 2 seriously injured as search for suspect in bar shooting continues
Three people were killed and two others were seriously injured in a shooting early Sunday at a crowded Wisconsin bar, prompting a two-state search for at least one gunman who authorities said targeted the victims.

Gunfire broke out inside and outside the Somers House Tavern in Kenosha, Wisconsin, around 12:42 a.m. when a man who had been kicked out of the bar returned with a handgun and opened fire, Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said at a news conference Sunday morning.

BB1fMeJL.img

"We don't believe this was a random act," Beth said. "From what I've been told, the three people who passed away probably knew each other. This was a targeted situation."
Beth said it was not immediately clear why the gunman was asked the leave the tavern. "This person that was asked to leave wasn't cooperating with the management there," Beth said. "But I believe he returned a short time later and came in and did the shootings." Beth did not rule out the possibility that more than one gunman was involved in the fatal shooting, saying more than one gun could have been used.

He said detectives are combing through surveillance video and interviewing witnesses in an attempt to identify the suspect or suspects. Law enforcement agencies throughout southeast Wisconsin and northern Illinois were searching for the suspect, the sheriff said.

In a statement sent out earlier Sunday, Sgt. David Wright of the sheriff's office described the suspect as "a Black male over six feet tall wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt."

Beth said he could not immediately say if any of the three people killed worked at the Somers House or were patrons. The names of the victims have not been released.

"I believe the gunman knew who the victims were. Whether the victim knew the gunman, I don't know," Beth said.

He said investigators believe a second shooting that occurred outside the bar is related to the bloodshed inside.

Beth said one of the people shot managed to jump in a car with two other people, who flagged down a law enforcement officer. He said the officer moved the victim to his patrol car, but the person died en route to a hospital.

The shooting caused a lockdown at nearby Carthage College, but Beth said there was no threat to the surrounding community.

He asked the public to contact the sheriff's office if they witnessed the shooting or have information to help investigators identify the killer.

Amish Teen Was Strangled, Suffocated, and Stabbed in the Neck After Being Kidnapped While Walking Home from Church on Father’s Day: Autopsy
Linda-Stoltzfoos.jpg

A Friday coroner’s report revealed the worst: Linda Stoltzfoos, an Amish teen who had been missing for nearly a year, was strangled and then stabbed in the neck after she was kidnapped last Father’s Day.

Officials in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania recovered the 18-year-old girl’s remains during a search for her on Wednesday. Her family was alerted to the discovery that same day and the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office quickly confirmed her identity through the use of dental records.

According to Lancaster Online, Coroner’s Office Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said the official cause of death was asphyxia caused by strangulation and suffocation. He ruled the girl’s death a homicide and is conducting a series of routine additional tests to determine if Stoltzfoos was the victim of sexual assault before she died.

Stoltzfoos’s body was found wrapped in a tarp, according to PennLive.com. She was buried roughly 42 inches underneath Amtrak railroad property near the Dutchland, Inc. water treatment plant where the lead suspect in her murder, Justo Smoker, 35, worked at the time of the girl’s disappearance and death.

Woman kills man and his dog in hit-and-run fleeing another hit-and-run moments before

A woman has been arrested after allegedly running over and killing a man and his dog while they were out for a walk in a hit-and-run incident while fleeing at a high speed from another hit-and-run incident she had reportedly committed only moments earlier.

The incident occurred on the evening of Sunday, April 25, shortly before 8 p.m. in Sandy Springs, Georgia -- a suburb north of Atlanta -- when police responded to a hit-and-run incident involving a pedestrian, later named as 25-year-old Michael Farmer of Sandy Springs and his dog, a Catahoula named Bruce.

BB1g67UN.img

An initial police investigation found that Farmer and his dog were walking on Hammond Drive near Glenridge Drive in Sandy Springs when a white sedan traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed struck the victim and fled the scene, according to a statement from the Sandy Springs Police Department.

Farmer and his dog both died in the accident as a result of the injuries suffered in the collision.

However, during the course of the investigation, Sandy Springs Police Traffic Investigators found that the exact same vehicle had been involved in another hit-and-run incident with a vehicle only minutes before striking Farmer and his dog.

“Sandy Springs Police Traffic Investigators learned that minutes prior to this deadly incident, the same hit-and-run vehicle had been involved in an additional hit-and-run crash with another vehicle while in the area of Roswell Road and I-285,” Sandy Springs Police Department said in a statement on social media. “The suspect was fleeing the first incident at a high-rate of speed when it struck the pedestrian and his dog; causing fatal injuries to both.”

Through their investigation, Sandy Springs Police Department was able to identify the vehicle as a 2020 white Chevy Malibu with Florida tags and, with the help of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office, they were able to find the vehicle and the owner, 38-year-old Dominque Houston of Newnan, Georgia -- about 50 miles south of Sandy Springs -- before placing her under arrest.

Houston was then taken into custody, interviewed by authorities and subsequently charged with vehicular homicide in the first degree, reckless driving, two counts of hit and run, and one count of following too closely.

Houston has now been booked into the Fulton County Jail on the above charges and is awaiting prosecution.

The "Tunnel Vision" rapper attended a sentencing hearing at Florence County Clerk of Court where he pleaded guilty to a lesser sentence of first-degree assault and battery, PEOPLE confirms.

Black, 23, was initially indicted on a first-degree sexual misconduct charge, court records show.

The rapper was facing 10 years in jail, but under the plea deal he is on 18 months probation.

As a part of the plea deal that the victim agreed to, Black had to take accountability for the harm he caused and apologize to the victim on Wednesday, according to WBTW.

12th Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements told the outlet, the rapper told the victim who appeared on video, "I apologize to Miss [Jane Doe] and am hopeful we can all move forward. I wish her the best in her life."

Black must also undergo counseling, according to WBTW.

The rapper's attorney Beattie Ashmore and Clements did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request to comment.

Black was arrested in November 2016, court records show. On December 1, 2016 he was released on a $100,000 bond.

He allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl in a hotel room in Florence County after a club appearance, Billboard reported at the time.

COLLEGE PARK, Ga. (AP) — A local television news crew spotted an Arizona murder suspect near the Atlanta airport and flagged police, resulting in the man being taken back into custody after a daylong search.

The reporter and photojournalist with WSB-TV said they saw Jsaan Carlos Strover, 20, as they were driving down a road near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

Reporter Matt Johnson said he and photojournalist Joe Booker were in their live truck when Strover ran by and into some bushes. Johnson said police were nearby, so they flagged down an officer and then started filming as the suspect was arrested.

Strover was wanted for murder, attempted murder and aggravated assault in Arizona. He was arrested by U.S. Marshals in the Atlanta area on April 12 on other charges, but was already wanted in Arizona.

He had gotten away from two Maricopa County, Arizona, deputies while they were dropping off a rental car at the airport earlier in the day.

LOL "Jsaan" baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahaha
Fulton County, Georgia, Sheriff Patrick Labat told reporters Strover had run away after deputies unshackled his legs so he could walk down stairs.

'She Was So Innocent': Tenn. Girl, 10, Is Fatally Stabbed, and Mom Charged with Murder
BB1glIXq.img

A 29-year-old Tennessee woman is accused of fatally stabbing her 10-year-old daughter and critically injuring her 18-year-old sister during an attack outside her Memphis apartment building on Friday.

Lawrencia Reed has been charged with one count of first-degree murder in connection with the death of her daughter, Kamari Reed, as well as three counts of attempted first-degree murder.

Reed has yet to enter pleas to the charges, and it was unclear Tuesday if the woman — who is being held without bond — had retained legal counsel.

Police were called to the scene Friday evening and arrived to find Kamari and her 18-year-old aunt, who has not been named, suffering from stab wounds.

Both were transported to a nearby hospital, where Kamari was pronounced dead soon after arrival.

Her aunt remains in critical condition.

A motive remains unknown, with investigators saying only that the stabbings seemed to be "a domestic violence situation" in a Twitter post.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched online to help cover Kamari's funeral costs.

"She was so innocent and had her whole life ahead of her," writes Akeria Reed, another aunt of Kamari's. "If you met her, you'd love her. She is the sweetest ever."

Groom Rapes Bride's Friend Before Las Vegas Wedding, Police Say
BB1gpZTs.img

A bridegroom has been arrested on charges of raping his fiancée's friend in the early hours before his Las Vegas wedding.

Omar Delaney, 35, is alleged to have followed the wedding guest into her hotel room after he and other guests had been out on the Las Vegas Strip on the night of April 19, according to an arrest report cited by the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Delaney, from Tacoma, Washington, had offered to walk the guest back to her room, which was next door to the bride and groom's room, the woman told police.

However, the 35-year-old followed the woman into her room and began fondling her breasts, according to the arrest report.

"[She] told Omar, 'I don't like it,' and tried to scoot away from Omar," the report states, as reported by the Review-Journal. "Omar responded, 'OK.'"

Delaney reportedly left the room but came back a few minutes later and began removing the woman's clothing before performing a sex act on her. The woman said she was afraid he might become violent if she resisted.

Delaney left the room again but returned a few minutes later, climbed on top of her and raped her, according to the report.

The woman reportedly went to another wedding guest's room after the incident, but upon finding Delaney there she told the guest that she had had a bad dream and this was why she was upset, KTNV reported.

She then returned to her room and called her mother. On the morning of April 20, she called Las Vegas police to report that she had been sexually assaulted and wanted to press charges, according to the news outlet.

The woman's hotel key was found in Delaney's hotel room, according to the arrest report. Police determined that it had been used at 12:21 a.m., 12:38 a.m., 1 a.m. and twice at 1:29 a.m., the Review-Journal reported.

In a photo posted on April 18 to a Facebook account with the name Omar Delaney, a man can be seen at an airport. The caption reads: "On my way to vegas to get lit. Peace."

Another photo posted to the same account on April 26 shows a couple on their wedding day with the caption, "Married AF yo."

Delaney was arrested on the morning of April 20 on three counts of sexual assault and one count of lewdness, Clark County court records show.

He was booked into Clark County Detention Center, but was released on April 21 on $10,000 bail. The wedding then went ahead. Delaney has a court hearing scheduled for July 26.

Elderly Man Dies After Being Punched in Dunkin' Donuts Over Racial Slur Confrontation
A Dunkin' employee faces a manslaughter charge after punching an elderly customer who later died. The employee become physical after the older man called him a racial slur, according to an arrest report dated May 7.

Corey Pujols, 27, was working at a Dunkin' store located in a gas station in Tampa, Florida, when the May 4 incident occurred. According to a police news release, the 77-year-old man was in his car at the drive-thru window when he allegedly became upset about the service.

Employees asked the man to leave, but he parked his car and went inside the building. This is when police say he began arguing with Pujols, who was listed in jail records as the Dunkin' store's manager, according to the police report.

Pujols told police that the man was a regular customer. On this day, Pujols said the man was being "extremely rude" and called Pujols a racial slur. Pujols, who is Black, told police he asked the man to repeat what he said, and the man again said the same slur.

The specific slur was not included in the police report.

Pujols said he then punched the man once in the face, which knocked him out and caused him to hit his head on the floor.

Authorities arrived to the scene to find the 77-year-old victim unconscious and bleeding from the head. He was taken to Tampa General Hospital and placed in intensive care. Two days later, he passed away.

An autopsy showed the man had a skull fracture and brain contusions as a result of blunt trauma. A Hillsborough Medical Examiner's Office doctor reportedly ruled the death a homicide.

On the night of the altercation, police arrested Pujols on a charge of battery on a person older than 65. He was released the following day after posting $2,000 bail.

Following the victim's death, police obtained a warrant for Pujols' arrest on a charge of aggravated manslaughter of a person older than 65, and he was still being held Tuesday without bail. The charge is a first-degree felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

The police report indicated that the Dunkin' store's surveillance system captured video of the incident. The video reportedly shows that the customer didn't touch Pujols, and that the man appeared to hit the back of his head on the concrete floor following Pujols' punch.

The deceased man's name is not included in the arrest report because the Tampa Police Department no longer makes public the names of crime victims due a 2018 amendment to the state Constitution that protects the identities of victims.

Newsweek contacted the Tampa Police Department for further comment. This story will be updated with any response.

Mom’s Boyfriend Sentenced for Murdering 'Innocent and Helpless' Boy, 6, Who Was Abused for Years
A New York City man has been sentenced to prison after being convicted of murdering his girlfriend's 6-year-old son in 2016.

BB1gUbHL.img

On Monday, Rysheim Smith, 42, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, PIX11, NBC4 and the New York Daily News report. Smith was previously convicted on five counts in connection with the abuse and death of Zymere Perkins.

Zymere died on Sept. 26, 2016 after months of abuse. According to prosecutors, on the day of his death, Zymere was beaten by Smith with a broomstick before being hung over the back of a door by his shirt, according to a criminal complaint obtained by NBC 4 at the time.

In January 2020, Smith was found guilty of second-degree murder, first-and second-degree manslaughter and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, according to Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

"The death of Zymere Perkins was an unthinkable tragedy that sent shockwaves through the city and inspired a reckoning with how our social services system works to protect New York's most vulnerable," District Attorney Cy Vance said in a statement after the guilty verdict. "Zymere was an innocent and helpless 6-year-old boy who suffered unconscionable, ongoing violence at the hands of Rysheim Smith. Now, a Manhattan jury has rightly held the defendant accountable for this horrific murder."
https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/janet-yellen-makes-an-idiot-of-pete-buttigeig/ar-BB1gSKUi
According to a state-ordered investigation into the handling of Zymere's death, the city's Administration of Children and Family Services had been aware of the boy's troubled home life from five incidents handled by the agency beginning in 2010. Three ACS workers were fired in the months after the boy's death, with Mayor Bill de Blasio lamenting "a troubling series of lapses and missed opportunities in ACS's failed effort to protect Zymere Perkins."

In 2010, Zymere's mother, Geraldine Perkins, and Smith were investigated for allegedly using drugs and in later years often allegedly used corporal punishment to discipline Zymere.

Murder Suspect Tells Judge ‘I Am Not Going to Do No Type of Business with This Court,’ Claims He Has a ‘Strawman’ Name

A 33-year-old man accused of murder in Albany, New York showed up to court in virtual appearance and informed the judge that he was not interesting in doing “any type of business” with the court. Natural Wise Joseph also claimed his name is a “strawman” name and not his actual name, which he said was X.

AAKubK6.img

“Natural Joseph is not my name, that is a strawman name,” he said. “I am not going to do no type of business with this court.”

This apparently happened after Joseph had a phone call with his attorney.

Joseph’s unwise “strawman” strategy may find its roots in Sovereign Citizen extremist movement (see: the FBI’s introduction for law enforcement to “Sovereign Citizens,” which discusses how the term “strawman” is used). It could also be a ploy unrelated to the foregoing.

Albany County records from 2016 show that Joseph has certified before in official documents as Natural Joseph. The document also shows that certification was for the purpose of doing business as “Mr. Smell Goods.”

AAKufUS.img

Joseph wasn’t interested in doing business under any name on Wednesday.

“I’m not going to do no type of business with this court,” he insisted.

Joseph was charged earlier this week in the alleged murder last Friday of 39-year-old Lashon Turner.

The Albany Police Department said that Joseph was arrested on May 25 for the May 21 shooting of Turner. Police said the victim was shot in the torso and died at Albany Medical Center Hospital. It’s unclear what led to the shooting.

Joseph faces charges of second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine). Joseph’s attorney entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client. The defendant is being held without bail.

Albany County court records also show several criminal cases were filed against Natural Joseph dating back to the 2000s. WYNT reported that Joseph has at least eight prior convictions and a history of failing to appear in court.

Manhunt on for suspect who shot Dunkin' Donuts manager in head in pre-dawn robbery

A manhunt is underway after a Dunkin’ Donuts manager was shot to death during a pre-dawn robbery early Saturday morning in Philadelphia.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. in the West Kensington neighborhood in northern Philadelphia when police say a store manager was opening up the Dunkin’ Donuts establishment and the alleged suspect approached the victim from behind at gunpoint and forced her into the building, according to ABC News’ Philadelphia station WPVI.

AAKL0dj.img

Once they were both in the store, the suspect then allegedly demanded that the 41-year-old female manager give him the money that was in the office, said WPVI.
The woman subsequently handed over the cash to the assailant but after he took the money, the suspect opened fire on her and shot her in the head. The woman died at the scene of the crime.

“We are aware of the tragic incident that occurred at the Dunkin' restaurant on Lehigh Street in Philadelphia,” Dunkin’ Donuts said in a statement obtained by WPVI. “All of us at Dunkin' are saddened to learn of the death of a restaurant manager, and our thoughts go out to her family and friends. The franchise owner is cooperating fully with the local authorities in their investigation. As this is an active police investigation, we defer any further comment to the Philadelphia Police Department."

The suspect fled the crime scene and remains at large. Police are now looking for a Black man -- believed to be in his late 30s to early 40s -- with a mustache and goatee who has a medium-to-stocky build. The suspect was wearing a blue zip-up hooded sweatshirt during the shooting as well as gray cargo sweatpants and light gray New Balance sneakers. The man was also wearing a analog watch on his right wrist and had blue gloves and a facemask with him.

“She was a special person," Gilberto Melendez, a man who used to work with the victim, told WPVI. "It's crazy that somebody can just come and take somebody's life like it's nothing."
Co-workers of the victim along with her surviving friends and family gathered for a memorial on Saturday afternoon outside the store. The victim's friends told WPVI that the 41-year-old woman was a mother of two, grandmother and tireless worker.

A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person involved and anybody with any information regarding this case is urged to contact police.

GOP Plans To Weaponize Race in Midterms
GettyImages-1190296349-980x550.jpg

In the never ending Culture Wars, the modern GOP thinks race is their most powerful weapon.

Writing for Axios, managing editor Margaret Talev reports, “In an era when every topic seems to turn quickly to race, Republicans see this most divisive issue as either political necessity or an election-winner — including as it relates to voting laws, critical race theory, big-city crime, immigration and political correctness.”

The use of race as a wedge issue is hardly a new addition to the political playbook. For generations, politicians on both sides of the aisle aimed to provoke the type of racially-tinged fear and outrage that drives voters to the polls.

But while Democrats have recently focused on big-ticket items like infrastructure, child care, and reducing poverty, Republicans have tried to turn every racial mole hill into a mountain. Esoteric issues – like including more Black perspectives in school curriculums or giving minorities priority to Covid vaccines in some states – have been blown wildly out of proportion. If the GOP had their way with the public imagination, the ‘political correctness’ that frowns upon retrograde language would be a bigger scandal than the fact that nearly 20% of Black people live in poverty.

On the complicated topic of critical race theory, Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo. said “Democrats want to teach our children to hate each other.” Okay, then.

Overreach on any issue – including race – is always a possibility. Indeed, support for Black Lives Matter spiked after George Floyd’s murder, but public polling shows that the movement lost many new allies after it threw its weight behind the unpopular “Defund the Police” cause. According to an Axios poll, just one in five white independents – a crucial bloc of voters – supports the “defund the police” movement.

Republicans seem to be making the bet that they create that same type of backlash against Democrats writ large by cherrypicking outrages or manufacturing controversies. They’re willing to stick their fingers in the open wound of America’s race relations, instead of engaging in the type of sober policy discussions that would address root issues. Race may be a third-rail in American society – our original sin – but the GOP also sees it as a shortcut to success in the 2022 midterms.

In a recent interview, one of the Republican Party’s most incendiary culture warriors, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, urged the GOP to dive heard-first into controversies, saying “You can have a successful economy, but if the underpinnings of the culture are being torn apart, I don’t think that’s a society that will be very successful.”

DeSantis recently launched an offensive against social media companies, who he says are biased against conservatives. (Look at Facebook’s most popular pages; he’s wrong). “If Big Tech censors enforce rules inconsistently, to discriminate in favor of the dominant Silicon Valley ideology, they will now be held accountable,” DeSantis said as he signed a law that punished platforms who remove a politician’s posts. The law, it goes without saying, was obviously inspired by Trump’s Twitter ban.

Almost every constitutional expert agrees that the law has no chance of withstanding First Amendment scrutiny. The consensus is clear: it will ultimately be struck down. “This is so obviously unconstitutional, you wouldn’t even put it on an exam,” A. Michael Froomkin, a law professor at the University of Miami, told Wired.

But enacting the law isn’t the point. The point is creating a controversy, a talking point, fodder for Tucker Carlson and keyboard warriors the world over.

Will Americans take the bait? That’s what the GOP is banking on.

Jada Pinkett Smith Steams Her Vagina on Talk Show: 'This is What I Love'
She has candidly discussed love affairs, feuds and family traumas with her celebrity guests on Red Table Talk, so it's safe to say that few subjects appear to be off limits for Jada Pinkett Smith.

AAKTJYR.img

The actress is continuing to share in a big way, as the latest episode of her Facebook Watch show sees her steaming her vagina alongside daughter Willow Smith and mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris.

"We are going to steam our vaginas. Yes, we're gonna steam our vaginas on camera," Pinkett Smith enthusiastically announced at the top of the broadcast.

She continued: "I ordered some kits from a really beautiful young Black woman who owns her own business. So we're gonna head on up and we're gonna get started. Let's go get steamed, ladies!"

The trio of women then changed into matching lilac gowns, before mixing herbal sachets with hot water in their steaming seats.

Soon after lowering herself over her seat, Pinkett Smith told her daughter and mother—who were seated on either side of her—that she was feeling a "little tingle."

"What sensation are you guys getting, sitting here?" Pinkett Smith asked, prompting her daughter to answer that she feeling "a lot of warmth."

"This is real queen throne action right here," said Pinkett Smith, giving the practice her seal of approval. "This is what I love."

She went on: "Steaming is an ancient practice that originated in Asia and Africa and it was originally used to cleanse yourself after you've finished menstruating. I read somewhere that vaginal steams are like an aphrodisiac."

Pinkett Smith then sang the praises of "spending time with your vagina" and showing it "appreciation and care."

On the idea that she might be accused of oversharing, she said: "If you can listen to all these little rap artists talk and abuse the vagina, you sure as hell can watch women give it honor and praise and spend quality time"
