Are they going to remake this show or not??

We're watching the original and enjoying it. The writing is great, and the acting very good. The special effects are of course pretty lame, but still fantastic compared to the action sequences. Everytime they fight we burst into laughter.

Anyway, definitely needs a remake, especially with the new success of Doctor Who.

A bit of advice though if you should watch the old show - just enjoy the fact that the actresses are super hot - don't go looking them up. It was 20+ years ago.

Actually, they sort of both do. I'm betting wig for the blond though.

They were doing a remake with the original Avon as the leader, then they had a bit of a falling out and he withdrew from the project, since then its been in limbo as far as I am aware.

Anyway, the whole thing was pretty much already remade, as farscape.

I love it when I was a kid, but I find it unwatchable now. It has badly aged indeed, but a remake would work, IMO.

I can see the similarities to Farscape, but there are a number of differences, too. Enough that I wouldn't call Farscape a remake of Blake's 7.

Farscape centered on a character that was "along for the ride" and very much not in control of his own destiny. Blakes 7 centers on a man who embodies taking control of your own destiny.

Very different shows IMHO.
