I'm unable to believe that he has NEVER heard of Shakespeare. Although if he is being comically thick on purpose he is clearly a fucking genius because he sells it so well complete with confused furrowed brow.

Well since he followed it up by wetting the bed like a 2 year old, I would say yes, he is that thick
 
The general consensus seems to be that he was lying in an attempt to act the "lovable thicky". They contacted his school on BBLB and he has a GCSE in English, which the school said means he MUST have covered Shakespeare. It's a shame because he's one of my favourites now but I'll always doubt his sincerity when he says something thick.

I don't buy it, because you can't grow up in society and NOT know who Shakespeare is. It's literally impossible, like saying you don't know what TV is.

Edit: So, I guess he is a moron, though, for thinking people would believe he doesn't know who Shakespeare is.
