Brokeback Mountain

I just watched it this afternoon. I'm not sure what all the fuss was about but the sex scenes aren't that explicit.

I really enjoyed the movie and it's true, you just forget it's a movie about two gay men and it just becomes this incredibly moving love story. It also made me feel differently about gay people. I have no problem what-so-ever with gay people, some of the greatest people I've known in my life just so happen to be gay. This movie really just hits home that all anyone wants is to just find their one true love and live happily ever after, gay or straight.

I highly reccomend it for saps like me.

I'll have to check it out. Love stories like that always get to me, I think you're right about the universal need to find that "one true love". :)

That's a great assessment of the movie. It's the same reaction I had, although I cried like a pussy during the last 10 minutes because, well, I'm a big homo.

I don't think the fuss was over the sex scenes as much as it was over the movie existing at all, and the fuss was created by the usual fringe fundies. Pity that Hollywood pussied out and gave the Oscar to that tepid PC bore Crash. Brokeback is a superior film in every way, regardless of the subject matter.

It was a very very weak year for oscar, but Brokeback did deserve the statue. Eggs: Would you agree the whole movie is encapsulated in that five minute scene near the end?

Yeah, that's part of why I broke down. Everything that happened before just whooshed around in my head during that last visual, it was a perfect punctuation to the whole story.

To all of you that seem to have your brain cells frozen in a state of suspended animation, let me make something very clear to all of you..

GOD
HATES
FAGS!!!!!

What part of this do you NOT understand!
