'Bruno' looks dumb

Eggs Mayonnaise

All In With The Nuts
I wasn't going to go see it anyway but still LOL

I'll watch it when it's available on DVD.

Who/what/sdjioffs?

I'll watch it when I'm tied to a chair with my eyelids taped open.

Eggs, "seems" stupid?

I saw a clip on Conan. The "gayby" t-shirt was funny.

Borat must have made a lot of money, am I right?

Throw the jew down the well.

So my people may be free!

I'll watch it in the cinema if others I know are going. I'm sure it'll have some funny moments and hopefully make a few people reconsider their thoughts on gays (who am I kidding, half the people watching it will be siding with the homophobic arseholes "Bruno" encounters).

I am unsure about this.

Where does the line end between having a good old laugh at stereotypes versus using a high profile stereotype to take the piss out of preconceptions about stereotypes

Its a conundrum

I never did see Borat.

I think the only thing to worry about with this sort of thing is that some people will be too retarded to realise that their preconceptions and prejudice are being made fun of, rather than in this case gay people or in the case of Borat; Jews and disabled people.

Those people will die on their way to the cinema.

I liked "Da Ali G" show on HBO, mostly because in each half-hour show, there were small segments featuring Ali G, Borat, and Bruno. What I'm saying is, a little of each character goes a long way. A LOOOOOONG WAY.

I don't know if I will see Bruno in theaters or not.

But their deaths will be part of some other movie!

I just got back from seeing it. It was very funny! I had read on the internet that it was quite graphic with lots of Bruno-nudity, but there really wasn't so much. The most unusual graphic stuff (what Rolling Stone refers to) is in the beginning, and then there is some *extremely* humorous and short-lived Bruno-genitalia, and then it pretty much stops being graphic at all. Funny film.

Plus Baron Cohen isn't exactly hard to look at. ;)

Particularly in the beginning, shortly after Bruno comes to America, it seemed like a number of scenes were completely staged - when the agent calls him while he's in the anal bleaching salon, the view shifts to a camera in the man's office, and I doubt the swingers would've allowed a cameraman to film their party.

I bought the hunting party scenes, though. I'd been wondering how long it would take one of the marks to break the fourth wall, or rather in that case, to assault the fourth wall. Overall, my favourite scenes were the Texan talk show, Ron Paul, and "Straight" Dave.

Short movie (an hour and a half?), and missed out on some of Borat's comedy (the setup in the Romanian village at both ends was neat and had no counterpart), but when I suspend the aforementioned disbelief, I'd rank it equal to or only slightly behind our Kazakh friend.

Heard two completely conflicting reviews from friends, so I might see it on Friday to see it for myself.
