Cartoonizing the Cacophony av

This has been sort of the default TK art forum in the past so I'll post it here.

Anyway I feel like pretending to be an artist today and wanted to take a stab at making Cacophony's avatar more cartoonish and original.

Here's her av flipped around to and enlarged just for reference.

And here's a solid colour version of the bird that I came up with. I haven't added any fancy pants effects to it yet.

I'm not sure if I want to make the bird more cutesy or not. The original image gives the bird kind of a mean look to it and I'm not sure if that should carry over or not. I'll also need to add highlights to the legs and feet like the original does as well.

Thoughts, comments?

With all the black it kind of looks like the "evil Spiderman" version of a bird.

I like the mean look of the bird since it fits Cacophony more than cutesy does (AND I MEAN THAT IN THE MOST COMPLIMENTARY OF WAYS, 'KAY!!), and yeah, it definitely has to be flipped back
Other than that, I actually like the solid colour version better than the original. (But the xmas version is kinda funny, too )

Here's a version with more traditional eyes. What I really like about this new bird is how the Photoshop filters give me some really neat looking stuff because there's such a contrast between the yellow and almost black colour.
