Yeah, it's pretty cool. The stock program itself is pretty highly detailed and accurate, and some of the add-ons are kind of nifty. Then again some are kind of shitty. But they're easy enough to get rid of if you don't like them.

Additionally, if you're interested in general stargazing outside, Stellarium is a pretty decent multi-platform freeware program that'll give you localized star maps in real time.
