Chase Utley's Hitting Streak!!

Going into tonight's game, Chase Utley (arguably the best second baseman in the game right now) has a 34-game hitting streak. It's the second longest in Phillies' history (behind Jimmy Rollins' 38-game streak from last year) and it's tied for 13th best all-time in the Major Leagues. Chase is 23 games from breaking DiMaggio's record, and I've got my fingers crossed that he can do it. Not just because Utley is just the type of young, hard-nosed player who should break an immortal record like this, but because HE'D KNOCK A YANKEE OUT OF THE RECORD BOOKS AND I HATE ALL FUCKING YANKEES EXCEPT BABE RUTH!!!

Holy shit!! I just checked the record books, and if Utley breaks the record it will happen in NYC, on Saturday August 26th at Shea Stadium!!! EGGS MY MAN, WE GOTTA GO!!! I'm gonna try to get Darthsikle to go, and another guy from my office. I'll PM you, dude!

Ok, I know this is gonna be basically a private thread between me and E.M., and possibly Laker_Girl, but who cares! The Phillies are actually worth watching again!!

He had a close call the other night, eh? They almost ruled that infield hit a fielder's choice before flip-flopping a couple of times.

I'm all for it, especially since I missed seeing the Mets on my birthday. I just have to check to make sure I won't be in Vegas that week. Let me talk to my bosses (who seem to be changing weekly) about what weeks I can take off...

^^That play was a close call, but he got a solid single in the 9th to erase all controversy. ANNNNNDDDD...he got another hit in tonight's game (currently in the 5th), extending his streak to 35 games!! OH YEAHHHHH!!!

If you are in Vegas that week I'll be ever so jealous and I'll stop being your BFF! Dude...Vegas beats baseball anytime!
