Thanks but I can't stay long. Still got alot to do and I'm falling behind!
Actually, I'm having a great time except for the stuff for the friend that just had to have surgery for pancreatic cancer. Been working on my NaNoWriMo project, started yoga classes, finished reading a book I'm going to a group discussion on the saturday after Thanksgiving, been practicing on my new drum, and went on a big exploratory walk out at the Dallas Arboretum last weekend to enjoy all the fall color. Tonight is another drum jam, next week is a fall fair and my birthday. Week after that is Thanksgiving, a trip to Ranger and then the discussion group. One of those times when every day the calendar is booked. I love it. Can't keep up this pace for more than a month or so but it is fun when it is in full swing.
I'm writing a ghost story this year and the other night I was writing late and had to quit because I scared myself. That's always fun but I still have to get up in the morning and go to work and have a hard time doing that whan I haven't had much sleep. So, I'm writing the scariest bits during the daytime this weekend. Plus, have to reach my halfway goal so gotta go.

geez, E! How do you find the time to do all this?! I haven't even managed to get around to unpack my last 3 moving crates (I moved 3 1/2 years ago).
Just returned from a 2 week vacation to an Italian island. We had an awesome storm and were otally cut off the mainland for 3 days. Unfortunately, the storm ceased just in time for me to returning back to work *sigh*. Got an additional 5 lbs as a souvenir around my belly *double sigh*, but I've never been able to resist a good risotto, pasta or grilled fish.

Then there is December. The parties and things to do start the 3rd and go right up to New Year's.
And, I got good news from my oncologist today. I am super duper well except I have to add walking 30 minutes a day to my routine. Sure. I'll find the time. Started shopping for a treadmill today. Maybe I can walk in my sleep.

LOL now that'd be a sight! Maybe you could subsitute the walking by bicycling to work and to the supermarket? Congrats on the oncological thumbup! These guys usually are extremely cautious in their predictions, so if one says all is well, that's high praise indeed.

I feel like that about life sometimes too. Then I realize I must have asked to be here and there must have been a reason for that. Or, maybe the ship left me here by accident and I've gone senile with ancient alien age.

I suspect I wasn't quite satisfied with my last life and when I was about to be reborn into this one I asked that this life be a tad more interesting. One must remember that a tad to a mere mortal and a tad to an omnipotent being are vastly different. I should have been more specific - like, I'd like to be fabulously wealthy, very healthy, very wise, gorgeous, with lots of sex appeal, loads of common sense, come from an excellent family that is beyond good in manners, intelligence, living standards, and is kind and generous, and that all my friends are wonderful as well and we spend our days being daredevilish by slum shopping at Target and sipping sodas at a MickeyD's. But, no, I left it up to said omnipotent being to choose the meaning of "interesting" for me. I won't make that mistake again.
Or, it is quite possible I asked exactly for what I got in this life and now I'm learning the meaning of "be careful what you ask for because you just might get it."
