Cicadas have invaded!!!!!!!!!!!

Those red googly eyed orange wing noisemakers are back to hang out for the next month! During the drive home today I turned off the radio, I couldnt hear it! BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ is all I heard coming from every tree. Seen a few of them around work this morning. Oh well I am going to enjoy them, resistance is futile.

Its the 17. In downstate Illinois they have the 13. I think we have 7 or 8 different ones in my state popping out in different years. I think they are cool looking. We have a very colorful type around here.

I have no idea why they only come out every 17 years everywhere else, they fly around in my neighbors house YEAR ROUND :shock:
