New Moves To Beat Cyber-Bullies
Updated: 09:19, Friday September 21, 2007

Teachers' unions are backing moves to curb 'cyber-bullying', as new figures show a third of 12 to 15-year-olds suffer online abuse.

About 34% of young teenagers suffer abuse onlineInternet bullies have been using popular networking websites like MySpace, YouTube and Bebo to taunt their victims.

But the Government says it will introduce new measures to clamp down on the abuse.

The moves come as increasing numbers of teachers claim they are victims of bullies who send abusive text messages or emails or post offensive clips on the internet.

The new measures were developed in consultation with anti-bullying experts, mobile phone companies and networking websites.

The Association of Teachers and Lecturers' Mary Bousted said almost one in five of her members had complained of cyber-bullying during the past year.

Why the hell are teachers hangin out on the internets anyway?

Because they keep getting arrested for having sex with students and have to look elsewhere?

I never bully anyone on the internet. I abrade, agitate, badger, bedevil, beleaguer, bore, bother, break, bug, burn up, chafe, displease, distress, disturb, egg on, exasperate, fire up, gall, get, gnaw, harass, harry, heat up, henpeck, hit on, hot up, irk, madden, make waves, miff, nag, needle, nettle, noodge, peeve, perturb, pester, plague, provoke, ride, rile, ruffle, tease, tick off, trouble, turn off, vex, work on but I never ever bully.

I bully but I dare them to come and get me. I DAAAARE THEM!

Besides, children are stupid and should be reminded of that often.

I'm thinking they should worry a bit more about the bullying that goes on at the school campus where the physical damage is done.

Youd think that stopping it in the schools first would not only be more obvious, but an easier task to accomplish.

Someone should start bullying the teachers.

To forget about all the spoiled brats and incompetent colleagues they deal with every day.

At least that's why *I* hang out here. :D ;)
