New Moves To Beat Cyber-Bullies

Teachers' unions are backing moves to curb 'cyber-bullying', as new figures show a third of 12 to 15-year-olds suffer online abuse.
About 34% of young teenagers suffer abuse onlineInternet bullies have been using popular networking websites like MySpace, YouTube and Bebo to taunt their victims.
But the Government says it will introduce new measures to clamp down on the abuse.
The moves come as increasing numbers of teachers claim they are victims of bullies who send abusive text messages or emails or post offensive clips on the internet.
The new measures were developed in consultation with anti-bullying experts, mobile phone companies and networking websites.
The Association of Teachers and Lecturers' Mary Bousted said almost one in five of her members had complained of cyber-bullying during the past year.
