First they delete TK out of the database and now they start a whole section on trolling subculture and TK is nowhere to be found !

(although searching "trollkingdom" will bring up Trekbbs)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_organization

A troll organization or troll gang is a group of internet trolls who associate together, share ideas and resources, and may act in a concerted manner. They sometimes adopt a name for their group, and on occasion elements of an organizational structure. This is difficult, as trolls often object ideologically to organized structures and cooperation, and disapprove of agreeing with anyone. The verb to anarchize seems to have been coined to describe the minimal degree to which trolls can manage their joint technological and cultural needs to achieve their goals. Some troll groups refer to themselves as an anarchization, though this term is also used to mean "extreme democratization".

A number of different online media have led to the formation of such organizations, some short-lived and others more persistent. In past years, Usenet had a set of troll news groups, usually taken over from unused newsgroups ostensibly devoted to other topics, such as alt.syntax.tactical [1] (sometimes called trollgnaws) where members would discuss trolling techniques and organize raids of other newsgroups. Similar organized raids on internet forums are known as forum invasions (see Meow Wars), the purpose being to offend a particular group, to simply enjoy the reaction such invasions provoke, or to attack the signal-to-noise ratio of the other newsgroups and forums.

On the Slashdot website, a subculture with several such organizations has formed (see Slashdot trolling phenomena), some devoted to moderating each others' posts upwards and others to propagating new types of posts.

Some troll organizations engage in more serious projects that seem unreasonable or grandiose. The world trolling anarchization for instance claims to be seeking to free the Internet of having any "owned" domain names, presumably so trolling, alone, defines what words are to mean what, and what is to link where. It is not at all clear how this goal would be achieved, though, according to Larry Sanger in a notable essay on Kuro5hin where he declared that "trolls" had "taken over", wikis such as the Wikipedia had become examples of such a takeover process.

I now prepare you for the worst part !
Children turn away now !

List of notable troll organizations
Gay Nigger Association of America (GNAA) (trolls Slashdot, Kuro5hin and other technology communities)
The Cabal (sometimes 'Committee') of Logged in Trolls was a group of trolls active around 2002 on Slashdot. Their primary objective was to get first posts. The League of Anonymous Cowards was formed in response.
Trollkore (trolls Slashdot)
Bantown (a notorious offshoot of the Gay Nigger Association of America responsible for causing LiveJournal administrators endless grief.)

Not only is TK missing, all the links are to Queer boards ! WTF !

I demand that we demand that these people delete these bogus groups and add Trollkingdom ASAP !

Looks like they're all Slashdot trolls and offshoots of the GNAA, which also trolls wikipedia.

But war is a no-no. Borgs tried that with WF and effectively made WF a persona non grata at Wikipedia, iirc.

probably atleast 4 or 5. Which is really alot. I can't remember any Trekbbs troll or hack that involved more than 3 or 4 people at a time.

He edited the TrekBBS wikipedia article to say this:
Whilst EFCL was in its infancy, the TrekBBS was attacked several times by hackers, pornography-spammers and so forth. It was discovered that the hacks were by members of the Troll Kingdom; these members were consequently banned from TrekBBS permanently (although many of them have been granted reprieves, except for the noted troll "Parallaxis"). These attacks continued through early 2002, and the TrekBBS' staff-only forum was hacked multiple times, up to late 2004.
And thus gave away his IP address, assuming he's not using a proxy. ;)

How is the war on Wikipedia going, Para?

Right now its not a "war" so much as an "operation". Its going good. Could always use some help.

He edited the TrekBBS wikipedia article to say this:

I've found the secret is to add one BIG stupid thing for the WikiMods to fix so you can sneak 10 little things under the radar. Everyone paid so much attention to the "Parallaxis" comment that they didn't even notice the 5 other things I changed.

I wouldn't bet on it. It's pretty easy to see exactly what changes in each edit. I'd be willing to bet they saw the other things, but didn't care.

It does kinda hilight them in bold red print...

I always think that sock puppets is a more accurate description than duals - Dogbert uses sock puppets as well as a term - probably a Yahoo thing.

Duals imply two accounts, as it appears most people on here have about 10, it's slightly misleading.

Para, I got TK added to the internet trolls section. Now, it's time to get TK a wiki entry.
