The scene with Matt and Frank was great. Fisk having to listen to 'We Built This City' all day was funny. He should have played it to Adam in the cage at the end.
It was weird how Matt's case with the shoplifter didn't really tie into anything else? Maybe a result of them filiming two different versions of the show in two differents years then editing them together.
The shoplifter case seemed like a way to fit some social commentary into the show, plus Matt got to use his super smell powers to flirt, and he got to listen to the heartbeat of the bad cop and knows he didn't kill Hector.
I guess the shoplifter bit also reminded Matt of how frustrating the system it is and how hard it is to actually help anyone, but he won't really be able to help that guy by going back to being Daredevil either. Unless he gives out free FIDDLE FADDLE to people.
I can see why they released two this week, as the bank robbery one was total standalone that didn't really follow on from anything else (okay, I guess the robbers were trying to get money to pay Fisk) and didn't really connect with the next episode. It was entertaining enough for what it was. I like Kamala's dad but why not just have Kamala in something again instead of having her dad talk about how great she is.
Second episode was back to your regularly scheduled continuing storylines. I liked Matt just saying "fuck it" in the end and putting the suit back on. Fisk, Adam and Vanessa need to have a threesome.
It was really good! The fight scenes were exciting, Muse is creepy, and I almost felt bad for Fisk. The bad cop task force is probably going to end up worse than Muse.
The scene where Bastion revealed he was Muse to Heather flet like it was meant to be the culmination of a series of such therapy scenes...except it was the first time we've had one of those scenes. There was some bad ADR at times too. The show just feels a bit cobbled together at times (which makes sense because it is) and it's distracting. The part where Matt's friend started getting angry at him (for rescuing a teenage girl from a serial killer) would have been better if we'd actually seen more them together before. Matt's new law paterner is barely in it. Vanessa and Fisk hardly have any scenes together probably because all her scenes are reshoots. And so on! It's still pretty good but I hope season 2 feels like a more cohesive show.
I liked when Matt knocked out the bad cop on reflx.
Episode 8 - Felt more cohesive than most of the other episodes. Good to see Fisk and Vanessa actually together. Not show why Bullseye thought he needed Matt's help to get moved if he could just break out anyway?
