Blasted Dark Doogie.

Went in for my annual checkup this morning.

My dentist - who I hate but he is my dentist - was busy so they asked if it would be okay for me to see the other dentist in the office. I said okay since it was supposed to just be a checkup.

In walked a dark-haired version of Doogie Houser. I should listen to my inner voice, which was telling me this kid was tooooooooo young to be working on my person, especially in my mouth, which is attached to my face - and, no, I am not vain.

Dark Doogie said I needed my teeth scaled to complete the examination and as none of the dental hygienst were available, he'd do it. Now my mouth hurts and he cut my lip. I dislike Dark Doogie more than I dislike my regular dentist.
 
What? No sympathy?

I have a cut lip!! And, it is the Christmas season!!

I'm having to walk around with a cut lip!!!

*whine* *sob* *boo hoo*

Actually, I thought it was just on the edge of my bottm lip, almost in the corner, but apparently it is inside my mouth about 1/2 an inch on the inside.

It doesn't hurt but I am having to walk around with a puffy lip with a little scab on it. This is mistletoe season - kissing time - a time I like very much. **huhhh**

Oh well.
 
Had to go back to the dentist this morning to get a filling. Had a little cavity. Can't have that! Dark Doogie was my dentist again today.

Things went much better this morning and Doogie didn't hurt me or cut me or scare me or anything.

I like him now. I may keep him as my regular dentist. My regular dentist is not very cute and he is sometimes mean. I think he thinks he is being pithy and clever but when somebody is using sharp and whirring instruments around my face, I don't want them to be pithy and smart alec. I want them to be keen of eye, steady of hand, well educated, very skilled and practiced.

We'll see how it goes at the next checkup and cleaning in six months.
 
Went to see the eye doctor yesterday. He is very pleased with me because while my prescription has changed a little bit it is because my blood sugar and blood pressure are normal again. Yeah for me. The stuff he put in my eyes to dialate them stung at first, but it didn't last long. He asked, "are your eyes normally this large?" Apparently if you drink coffee (and I had about 3 cups before I went in), and you have really light eyes, and then they put in the drops to dialate your eyes, it makes your pupils really, really large. He liked that though because he got a good look inside my eyes. My new glasses - which look exactly like my current glasses - will be in around the 10th. Woo Hoo! And, I'll have my old glasses for a back up pair.

So, now it is just getting the car into the shop for an oil change and regular service. This vacation has been very busy with maintenance type of stuff.
 
When Dark Doogie presses his "I've never been laid" erection against you as he leans over to work, is it like a roll of quarters or a roll of dimes?
 
LOL - well, it didn't come to that. If it had, I might have a completely different point of view of Dark Doogie. However, from other observations, I'm guessing it is more like a roll of nickels and I remind him of his mom. I actually saw his whole face this last time and he had a stunning smile - lots of dental work there which is probably why he became a dentist. He has a great voice, too, and a cute, young, blonde male friend of his came in to visit and was sitting in the room next to mine. What does that tell you?
