missmanners
grrrrrrrr...
It seems so many of our local tree trimmers and power crews went south to help those in Texas and Lousiana that there is only a skeleton crew left to take care of us when we need it.
I have use of a generator for an hour today, the fridge is plugged in, my coffee maker and of COURSE my computer. Not having coffee in the morning is the worst part. I've been heating water on my charcoal grill as well as doing all of my cooking on it. And I've been able to find ice to keep Dad's insulin chilled.
I've lived without electric before but at least we had alternate fuel for cooking.
My trees took a lot of damage, so did the roof and I have a backyard full of black walnuts that blew in from somewhere.
Rumors say we may get power back by Sunday night. The first thing I'm going to do is make coffee.
